KAIPARA ELECTORS THANKED.
MR. BARNARD COMPLIMENTED. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) DARGAvILLE, this day. When the final results were made known last night Mr. C. J. Carrington, chairman of the Hon. J. G. Coates' executive, read the following message from Mr. Coates to the electors of Kaipara: "I tender my sincere thanks for the very handsome majority with which you hive returned mc. I realise how much my success is due to the work you have done in my interests. To my splendid committees, I am especially grateful, but for all concerned I have none but the heartiest thanks. Good wishes to you all. To my opponent, Mr. Barnard, I offer my congratulations on the sporting spirit in which he Iras fought the election. , ' Mr. Carrington also thanked ■ the electors, and congratulated Mr. Barnard on the excellent spirit in which he fought the campaign.
