Tlie Devonport Borough Council held its ordinary meeting , last evening. There was ' only a light order paper, and the business ' was completed in under half an honr. There ! were present: Mr. J. Henderson (Deputy- ! Mayor, presiding), and Messrs. E. AMrtdee. ' S. Wnlker. F. H. EUlsdon, W. S. Campbell and O. "W. Marks. AValceraata Power Board Amalgamation. —Finality In this matter wag approached by the passing of the following resolution, ; o" which notice of motion had been given j by Mr. Aldrfdse:—"That in consideration ■ of the fact that the nesotiations between j the Council and the.
