DR. SPAHLINGER ILL.
SERUM MANUFACTURE STOPS. ENGLISH DOCTORS TO RESCUE. (Received 10.30 a.m.) LONDON, November 1. Advices from Geneva report that Dr. Spahlinger, the discoverer of a treatment for tuberculosis, is suffering from a nervous breakdown. He had to leave Geneva temporarily, while owing to 'nek of capital he is shortly selling off bis horses and cattle, which will entail long delay in tbe manufacture of his serum. Medical officers in the North of England are holding a conference shortly, tbe outcome of which it is anticipated will lie the rehabilitation of Dr. Spahlinger's laboratory enabling him to continue his operations as soon as his health is restored. — (A. and N.Z.
