COMMUNISM IN FRANCE.
SUPPRESSION BY STATE. LONDON, October 16. A message from Paris states that a Communist demonstration outside the Bolshevik pavilion at the Decorative Arts Exhibition was forcibly dispersed. There were forty arrests. The Communist Mayor of St. Denis has been suspended for a month for grave dereliction of duty in allowing the public services to be stopped last Monday, when Communists attempted to bring about a preneral strike. The Communist Mayor and DeputyMayor of Halluin, in the Department Nord, were also suspended for abusing the priveleges of office.—(Reuter.J.
