JUBILEE INSTITUTE FOR THE BLIND.
"DRIVE" AT NORTHCOTE TO-MORROW. At a meeting held in the Borough Council Chambers on Wednesday evening final preparations were made for the '"drive" to be held on Saturday to raise ; quota of £105 for the fundi of the Jubilee Institute for the Blind. In the absence of his Worship the Mayo(Mr. C. A. Deuxberryl, the Deputy Mayor (Mr. J. B. Tonar) presided. Mr. J. F. Jackson acted as lion, secretary. Areas were allotted, and various members of the dist-ict appointed to canvass. An early start will be made on .Saturday, and it is trusted that the residents will liberally respond to this deserving cause. 0:/ behalf of the Xorthcote Ladies' Progressive League, Mrs. O'Leary (p-esi-dent) handed to the chairman a cheque for two guineas. The Mayor has also received a number of contributions, and the collection starts witli a fair sum in hand.
