KEEN ELECTION FIGHT.
STRAIGHT-OUT CONTESTS. (Received 2.30 p.m.) SYDXEY, this day. The keenness of the election fight is revealed by the lack of unopposed seats. The nominations generally show that tlvcre will be a clear fight between the parties, though in several electorates there are more than two candidates. Several candidates who signified they would stand as independents withdrew their nominations, simplifying the fight. (A. and N.Z. Cable.)
