MOVEMENT FOR PROTECTION. LONDON, October 14. The "DaMy Telegraph" states that the Cabinet yesterday granted the application of the worsted trade for an inquiry with a view to the imposition of a duty on foreign imports under the Safeguarding of Industries Act. A committee will be set up as soon as possible.— (A. and N.Z. Cable.)
