THE TELEGRAPH CONFERENCE
FUTURE CHARGES. (Received 2 p.m.) PARIS, October 14. Subject to the approval of the plenary conference, the tariff committee of the International Telegraph Conference agreed that increased terminal transit charges on telegrams shall be applied on April 1, 1920. The increases, which are considered certain to be formally adopted desipte British opposition, merely constitute maximum rates, which are chargeable and not obligatory. — (A. and N.Z. Cable.)
