FATAL BLOOD POISONING.
CURIOUS GERMAN CASE. BERLIN, October 13. Sigmund Brietbart, reputed to have been the world's strongest man. declined to have an anaesthetic during an operation for the amputation of his leg, and died after the operation.. He had contracted blood poisoning during a circus turn through a rusty nail penetrating his lesr when he was Iviug prone beneath a spiked board over which passed a heavily-laden lorry.— ("Sun.")
