CHALLENGE REPEATED.
LEAGUE TO RUGBY. "AT THEIR OWN GAM_."* (By Telegraph.—.Press Association.) TMAFvU, this day. In the course of an address on League football last night, Mr. H. Sunderland, secretary of the Queensland Rugby League, referring to the recent defeat of the Xew South Wales Rugby team at the hands of Xew Zealand, said that it had been freely stated that no other team could live with the All Blacks. Ha had forthwith issued a challenge to the All Blacks to play his team, one spell ttLeague, and the other at Rugby. No reply being forthcoming, he would now go a step further, and state publicly that the Queensland team was prepared to play the All Blacks on Saturday, October 10, at their own game, and on their own ground. He was also prepared to allow one of their own referees, Mr. Meredith, to control the game. He had received much abuse over his previous challenge, but was fully prepared to stand by his challenge, and also to allow the gate to be devoted to Xew Zealand charities.
