REASONS FOR WICKEDNESS. PARENTS AND PICTURES. MORALITY BY REGULATION. (By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright.) (Received 10.30 a.ln.) MELBOURNE, this day. Dr. Argyle, Chief Secretary, addressing the Protestant Federation Convention, said the causes of youthful delinquency were, according to the report of the Chief Commissioner of Police, decay of home life, want of moral and religious training and picture shows of an unsuitable nature. Dr. Argyle added that the Government was introducing a bill to control the very definite influences for evil spread by certain types of moving pictures.—(A. and N.Z. Cable.)
