DISPUTE ABOUT A LEASE.
Mr. F. K. Hunt. S.M.. was occupied at the Magistrate's ( ourr yesterday afternoon with a ca.-e brought by the >;andard Insurance Company" (Mr. Dyson i ajraiiia Mrs. Susanna Mary Latham iMr. L. K. Munroi, to recover £7! V.I/4. Tin; claim nai fur rpiit alleged to he lino, and for alterations effected at "the request of defendant. The rent totalled HI 13/4, and the alterations £.30 12/11. The >urn of t-io was confessed by defendant, and the balance of £71 13/4 was -rill claimed to be duo. It was stated that defendant was a partner in the lirui that occupied the ; remises. Tlip defence was that the deed did not contain the name of defendant, therefore slip was nor. liable under it. It was further claimed that the lease had been -urrondered. and that notices had been affixed that the place was to let. Mr. Hunt gave judgment for the plain - tiff for £30, tile amount confessed to be due,
