OLYMPIA MOTOR SHOW.
SOME EXCEPTIONAL FEATURES, i MANY POINTS OF INTEREST. ! Great interest is still being taken in the Olympia Motor Show that is being held on the Prince's wharf. Yesterday,! despite the inclement weather, the attendance was over 3000. A very commendable point is the manner in which local dealers have brought out " Special De Luxe " models of imported cars. The body work is of the highest order, and reflects great credit on the Dominion's body builders, j In view of the recent adoption of i balloon tyres by producers, keen inter- j eat attaches to the exhibition on the four tyre stands. Tyres are shown designed to fit normal wheels, and to provide all tho comfort accruing to low I pressure. Other interesting exhibits i show the necessity for a good lubricating medium by means of working models, the parts where the heaviest j friction occurs being open for showing I how lubrication overcomes friction. English cars are showing a very complete dashboard equipment, whilst many of the instrument boards are most conveniently recessed for the stowing of small articles. Centrally-placed gears and brake levers are universal on American models, but English cars are showing with right hand controls. In view of the recent bad weather, visitors will be pleased to learn that the Auckland Automobile Association have an officer on their stand at Olympia who is well posted with the conditions of all roads. The show will be open daily until Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
