WONDERFUL RECEPTION. To Chrysler-Built Maxwell.
The /instantaneous reception of the Chrysler-built Maxwell in New Zealand, as elsewhere throughout "the world, is evidenced by the mature and experienced stage to which public knowledge and judgment in the matter of motor cars has now attained. When Walter P. Crysler and his engineers took over and redesigned, improved and reconstructed the Maxwell car, these same factors which had made the Chrysler Six the most remarkable succes in the motor world, were contributed to the Maxwell to render it the superior of all other four-cylinder cars. Both the new transmission and new rear axle arc strong and rugged enough for a truck. The extensive use of fine bearings eliminates friction to such an extent that iwith one hand you can roll the car on a level floor or street. The heavy, perfectly-balanced crankshaft floats on a film of oil maintained under forcefeed pressure in its oversized bearings— thus reducing wear to the point where there is practically no need for bearing replacement. The release, or throwout bearing of the new clutch, often a prolific cause of trouble and expense because of poor lubrication, is positively and automatically lubricated from the transmission. In proportion to weight, it is actually stronger than cars costing two. three or e\«cn four times as much. All these and other points of superiority make the Chrysler-built Maxwell, at the pree at which it is offered, a remarkable proposition. Local agents: G. W.
