HEALTH DEPARTMENT'S RETURNS.
The following is a return showing the number of cases of ' infectious disease notified in the Central and South Auckland Health Districts during the month of July, 1925:—
Central Auckland Health District.— Scarlet fever 10, diphtheria. 14, tuberculosis 13, enteric fever 1, puerperal fever 5. erysipelas 6, eclampsia 2, influenza pneumonia 3, pneumonia 21, food poisoning 1, ophthalmia neonatorum 1, septicaemia' following miscarriage 4, impetigo contagiosa 2. Total, 83 cases. J
South Auckland Health District.— Scarlet fever 9, diphtheria 13, tuberculosis 8, poliomyelitis 1, puerperal fever 1, eclampsia 3, pneumonia 8, septicaemia following miscarriage 1. Total, 44 cases. North Auckland Health District.— Scarlet fever 6, diphtheria 4, tuberculosis 8, enteric fever 2, puerperal fever 2, erysipelas 2, eclampsia 1, pneumonia 2. Total, 25 cases.
Coromandel-Opotiki Health District.— Diphtheria 7, tuberculosis 2, enteric fever 0, poliomyelitis 1, puerperal fever 3, erysipelas 1, influenza pneumonia 1, pneumonia 3, septicaemia following miscarriage 1. Total, 25 cases.
