POSITION AT TAKAPUNA.
AUXILIARY OFFICE PROPOSED,
The v present site of the Takapuna Post Office is frequently the subject of expressions of dissatisfaction by residents of the borough.
-At a recent meeting of. the public committee of the Takapuna Council, the chairman, Mr. A. H. Wilkie, reported that a fully signed-up petition for a post office at Belmont had been completed.*'. The; petition also asked for .a public telephone box at Belmont. '• The committee later' considered the question of the site of the present.'Takapuna office and recommended that a -request for an auxiliary post office at Hall's corner be made. . It was stated that the establishment of an auxiliary .office would expedite business in that .area.
At last evening's meeting of the full council, the committee's recommendation was adopted.
