MATCH WITH CANTERBURY.
] At the weekly meeting of the Auckland i Hockey. Association executive last night, Mr. A. Playle presiding., the of the second Zsnol Cup match between Auckland and Canterbury was considered, The I game will be played on Saturday, and Can- ! terfoury nominated Mr. J. B. Steele as ! referee, the local nominee being Mr. O. | Wncldlngham. It was found impossible to ! accede to a Waikato request for a visit from a rep. team, but decided to offer a match, or matches, by strong senior and junior club teams, which could be sent to Hamilton on August 29 or Scpcraubcr 5. The Wellington primary schools team will play Auckland for the Norton Cup at Auckland on August 22, and Arrangements are being made for billeting the , visiting boys. Areta seconds were grunted I permission to visit Alfrlston on Saturday jto play Brookby.
