OSTEND ROAD BOARD.
The monthly meeting of the Ostend Road Board was held last evening, the chairman, Mr. H. T. G«rratt, presiding, « Four tenders were; received for forming and metalling Onetangi Road, and that Of Mr. G. J. Murfltt i for £?87S 0/6 was accepted, the' work to be proceeded with forthwith. ' - -. _ A deputation from the Ostend Ratepayers! Association waited upoh tbe board with a petition Spraying for direct telephonic communication with Onetangi, aid asking itbe board for their support la this matter, which was unanimously acceded to. Messrs. Lichensteln Anwldson and Company, wrote donating a section for Road Board purposes, and it was decided that a letter of thanks be sent in this connection.
