EXPIRES ON PLATFORM. WIDOW DIES OF SHOCK. CHICAGO, August 4. Mr. Charles W. Clark, a widely-known' baritone concert singer and profeeeor of vocal music at the Bush Conservatory, died while he was fulfilling an engagement at a Chicago theatre. The widow died a short time afterwards from shock.— (Reuter.) Mr. Clark studied music with Herechel and Randagger in London. He was married in 1888 to Miss Jessie Baker. He had given over 50 recitals in London, and was the first American to sing for the National Conservatoire, Paris. He was born in Ohio in 18C5.
