THE CHEERFUL DEAN.

BATHING FULLY CLAD. WHY DO IT? LOXDOX, May 28. Dean Inge, of St. Paul's, speaking at the Sunlight League's dinner, advocated the allocating of portions of beaches to encourage men and women to run about wearing a minimum of clothing. A notice, he said, might he placed on a barrier: "Gentlemen will not pass this way. Others must not.'' He deprecated the present absurd council restrictions on beaches and popular resorts. "Mixed bathing, completely clothed," he Eaid "may be agreeable as a social function, but hygienically it is useless."
