BANK NOTE FACTORY.
CRIMINALS' FINE PLANT. " A PRESS PHOTOGRAPHER." (r.eceived 12..10 p.m.) LONDON, June 7. Scotland Yard regards the Karl's Court discoveries of a bank note printing plant as the most important of recent years. There were all the latest devices .some of which were unfamiliar to the police, including a huge swinging camera four feet__ square, suspended from the ceiling, four etching machines, two presses, n huge quantity of sensitised paper, and 200 packets of photographic plates. The detained man posed as a Press photographer. He claimed the apparatus was used professionally. The forged notes are so perfect that detection has been extremely difficult. They have been circulating in all parts of the country for 12 months.— (A. and X.Z.) The raid on a house in Earl's Court was a sequel to the conviction of one Kennaway, a Cambridge Universitj' man. He is stated to have been the master mind of the gang. He was recently sentenced to four years' imprisonment for forgery.
