Only two names were submitted, namely that of the Reform candidate, Ewen Donald McLeniinn. who was nominated by Robert Black Todd. Mayor of Otahuhu, nml Arthur William Hall, farmer, Piipatoetoe: and John SomerviHc Montgomerie. (he Labour candidate, who was nominated b.v John -I. C'oady, picture house proprietor. I'likekohe. and Guy Harris Luck, farmer. I'aerata. Considerable interest has been aroused by the definite announcement that the lion. -I. (I. t'ontes, TVime Minister, has decided to enter tlie lists on behalf of the Reform candidate. There will now be the (wo candidates, each supported by tbe lender of his party. So fur. the Premier lias promised to speak here and also at Otahuhu. The dates have not yet been announced, but Mr. ('nates is expected in the electorate either at tbe end of this week or early next week. It is not anticipated that any other members of the Cabinet will participate in the elect an fi„ht.
