GEN. SIR G. S. RICHARDSON.
MESSAGE FROM THE "LIMBIES." A close friendship between Major-Con-eral Sir (I. S. Richardson. Administrator of Samoa, and New Zealand limbless soldiers, which had its birth in wartime, prompted the "limbies" in Auckland to send a message to the Administrator, at Apia, congratulating him upon his recent knighthood. The message was couched in the friendliest terms and was to the effect that the "limbies" here were proud of their attachi.ic.it for one whose service and attainments had been so appropriately acknowledged by His Majesty. A reply was received to-day from General Richardson in the following terms: "Your good wishes have touched mc deeply, recalling memories of your past sufferings and your present disabilities cheerfully borne for your King and country; 1 extend to all "limbics'' my thanks, love and good wishes.''
