A young widow who had just obtained employment in a West End draper's was the holder of a Zionist ticket in the Baltic Sweep, the prize being about £5000, but erroneously reported to he £20.(100. She had sold a-quartcr aharc to her fiance, whom she was shortly marrying, and half to a friend. A syndicate of three drew the. first prize of £50,000 in the Stock Exchange Sweep, but previously sold half a aharo to Manna's owner for £2000. It is reported that Mr. Morris also won fSO 000 in hets. Mr. C'arew, the Calcutta Sweep winner, was so pestered with photographers, callers, and begging letters, that he locked up his house and went to any unknown destination in the country (A. and X.Z.
