The Derby Stakes of 50 soys each, with 3000 soys. added, over one mile and ahalf, was decided at the Epsom Summer Meeting to-day, and resulted as follows: MANNA, 1) c, by rbnlaris—Traffics, 3yrs —Mr. 11. (Received 2 p.m.) LONDON, May 27. Miserable conditions prevailed for the Derby. There was cold, driving rain, with a hurricane wind. Vet the crowd, most of whom sheltered in the lee of the buses, taxis, and char-a-bancs, appeared to be larger than ever. Their Majesties, accompanied by the Duke and Duchess of York, I'rince Henry, Princess Mary and Viscount Lnscelles, were accorded an ovation. The fjoing was sticky, the course having cut up during the early races. The harrier went uji to a fair start. Prior Park raced in front of Manna. Conatantius, Delmagarry, Virginian, St. Bccan, Vicot, Dignity, Zionist, and Solaria, with Cross Bow heading the others, for a quarter of a mile, when Delmagarry forced the pace, pursued by Manna, i'riory Park. Conatantius, St. Becan, Vicot. Zionist, The Sirdar, War Minister, and Runnymede. At half-way, Manna joined Delmaparry, who was beaten when descending the hill to Tattenham Corner, where Zionist went up to second place, followed by War Minister. The Sirdar, St. Becan, Cross Bow, and Solario. A quarter of a mile from home Manna drew away, and won in a canter by eight lengths. There were two lengths between second nnd third. Tlie result of the Derby, for which special arrangements were made by the Eastern Extension Company, reacbeil Melbourne, Sydney, and Wellington in OOsee after the race had finished. Adelaide.
