KIA ORA TRAGEDY.
HOAD BEFORE THE COURT. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) OAMARU, this day. In the Magistrate's Court this morning, Reginald Hoad, the perpetrator of the Kia Ora tragedy, was charged with attempted suicide, and elected to be dealt with in the Supreme Court. An inquest on the victim is proceeding, after which Hoad will be formally charged with murder.
