CHANGES IN STAFF.

AT MENTAI. HOSPITAL. DR. BBATTIE ON HOLIDAY. Twelve months' leave of absence lias 'been granted Dr. R. M. Beattie, who for 28 years past has been medical superintendent of the Auckland Mental Hospital. Dr. Beattie has not always taken his holidays annually, and these _ have accumulated until he can now enjoy a substantial holiday before resuming duty at the Mental Hospital. During Dr. Beattie's absence Dr. T. G. Gray, until recently superintendent of the Nelson Mental Hospital, will have charge of the Auckland institution. Accompanying Dr. Gray is Mr. D. Riddle, head attendant, and Miss Braid, matron, of Nelson, their predecessors, Mr. J. Goodwin and Miss W. McDougall, being at .present on leave of absence pending a transfer. Mr. J. T. Owen, who was clerk and storekeeper at the Auckland 'Mental Hospital, has been transferred to the Porirua Hospital and his place taken by Mr. A. Sinclair, of Nelson.
