HAMILTON BOROUGH.
THINGS A BIT BREEZY. (Bt Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.* HAMILTON", this day. The Hamilton Borough Council spent the whole of last evening's sitting in discussing the appointment of a comptroller for the borough at £1000 a year, and at 10.30 Mayor Fow declared the meeting adjourned. The discussion was characterised by a good deal of acrimony, the council being almost evenly divided on the question, and when the Mayor adjourned the meeting. Crs. Hay and Webb angrily attacked Air. Fow, declaring lie was unfair. i -:'
