On the application of- the Auckland Law Society, Lawrence Jamea Prendergast, recently sentenced to three years' •hard labour for theft, and also charged with other offences, was struck off the roll of solicitors by the Appeal Court. On the application of the Wanganui Society George William McCaul was also struck off for misconduct in respect of sums amounting to £1800:
