3 • t (By Telegraph.—Chvn Correspondent.) 1 . WHANGABEI, this day. At the Whangarei Magistrate's Court before Mr. R. W. Tate, S.M., a charge of driving a motor car in a manner dangerous to the public was preferred against George Francis Shaw (Mr. O. E. Stout), who pleaded not guilty. Constable Sutherland gave evidence that defendant had driven down the Kamo Road at about 3.5 miles an hour. Several witnesses for the defence based the spted at much lower than this figure. The magistrate held that the charge had been proved, and fined defendant I £10, and costs, £4 18/2.
