CLAIM FOR FIRE DAMAGE. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.i GISBORXE, this day. The Supreme Court has been occupied for three days in hearing an action which James Horace Wilson, mortgagee of a station property sold by him in 1919 to the late John'Witcliell," sued the latter"s trustees for alleged negligence in setting fire to standing scrub, thereby occasioning damage to property; also for damage through the removal and reconstruction of buildings. Much evidence was given as to the practice of farmers in the district dealing with scrub. The special jury, after a few minutes" deliberation, returned a verdict for defendant.
