HEAVY TRAFFIC LICENSES.
COUNTY COUNCIL PAYS UP. "We should he upholders of the law," remarked Mr. F. Kearsley at Manukau County Council meeting yesterday when the question of taking oiit licenses with the Auckland City Council for the county motor trucks was under consideration. Tlie matter came up on a recommendation from the Works Committee that the licenses he obtained. Mr. House, who had seconded the committee's motion, suggested that as were was a test case coming before the Umrt only one truck should be licensed The chairman (Mr. F. W. Waters): They are all liable. Mr. House (insinuatingly): They have appointed an inspector yet. (Laug-h-The chairman: But they are liable.
