GREY LYNN CLUE. ANNUAL MEETING. Mr. ,T. Edmonds presided over a large meeting of the members at the annual meeting last evening, in the Grey Lvnn Library The report and balance sheet was adopted after some discussion, mainly on the question of subscriptions and jorsevs l>ll9 to a number of players defaulting" in their payments the balance sheet disclosed a debit, and members were asked that subscriptions be paid as early as possible Vo liability the club t0 liquidate ' Its The following officers were elected • President. Mr. W. Curtis; vice-presidents' Messrs. McDonald, Norris, McLean Brvan Williamson. Mann, Mines and Cole- hon sec, Mr. 11. Cole; hon. treasurer Mr E - Greer; hon. auditor, Mr. T. TJ Mabrii : delegate to the A.K.P.U., Mr. KoMnson ! delegate to the J.M.8., Mr. H. Cole- com' mittee, Messrs. Robinson, Porteous Camp bell, Cole, Curtis, Halme, and Jackson It was decided to enter teams in the third, third intermediate, fourth, fifth and sixth grades. . Subscriptions were fixed'at 0/0, 0/, 5/, 2/0 (Inclusive of insurance) and 1/, for the various grades. ' Mr. Buchnnnh addressed the meetin" stressing the question of the new rules] and the necessity/ of', members becoming conversant with them, nnd also the desirability of coaches being appointed to the various grades, more especially among the juniors, and the necessity of "such coaches accompanying teams when playing. .It was resolved to have the first practice on ~ Saturday afternoon next, and to endeavour to- obtain -the use of a training , shed later on. UNITED CLUB. The United ; Rugby Football Club held their first annual, meeting at the Technical College, Wellesley Street East, on Monday, evening, about 00 members being present. The president,: ..llr. A. A. Lucus, was in the chair, and' .welcomed the new members to the club. ! The secretary's and treasurer's reports were' adoptcd,:-fuid .showed that the club had .' had '. : a. very-;sjuc(!egsf:ul season, with' a large., increase in: membership and a substantial credit, balance.' .The election of officers resulted : "Patron; •Mγ.
