TRAINS FOR RAGLAN.

DISCUSSION WITH AGENT, i (By Teiecraph.— Own Correspondent.) NGARUAWAHIA, this day. To-day Mr. Welsh, railway commercial agent, met the Borough Council and representatives of Raglan county and Chamber of Commerce, in regard to cancellation of the 7.3,0 a.m. train to Auckland. Mr. Welsh stated that the train was not paying and should be cancelled. He eugerested a bi-weekly service.

Mr. Marsland (chairman' pointed out that the train gave service to practically all Raglan county north of Ngaruawahia and to' all the people between Te R/ina and Mercer.

After discussion the meeting decided to oppose cancellation, but if such is absolutely necessary, to accept a biweekly service, with a proviso that it hf made tri-weekly if traffic warrants. Wednesday and Friday were suggested ns the dnvs the train should run.
