PACIFIC CONFERENCE.
AT HONOLULU IN JULY. RACES GETTING TOGETHER. THE AMERICAN PLAN. (By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright.) (Received 10.30 a.m.) NEW YORK, March R. Plans for a non-political Pan-Pacific conference of representatives from seven countries are in progress. It is intended to hold the conference at Honolulu in July. The announcement is made by the Executive Committee of the United States group, of which Dr. Ray L. Lyman, president of the Stanford" University, is chairman.
The conference, which is to be called every two years, will be attended by publicists of the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, China, Japan and the Philippines.
The meetings, it is anticipated., will lead to methods of ascertaining facts and the creation of machinery for scientific study of races in the Pacific in accordance with a co-ordinated plan of research in which all the interested countries will co-operate on an equal basis. — (A. and N.Z. Cable.)
