PRICE OF BREAD.
EISE AT WELLINGTON. (By Telegraph-—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The North Island bakers have not proposed any definite increase, but it is regarded as inevitable that a rise in the price of bread will take place. Mr. C. E. Bell, president of the Wellington Master Bakers' Association, said the master bakers were awaiting the report of their delegates before making any definite announcement. • In Great Britain and other parts of the Empire flour and bread prices were increased some month? ago owing to the dramatic advance in wheat prices. NewZealand had. enjoyed comparatively low prices, as a result of the control ol the industry by the Government.
