PRICE'S FOUNDRY.
EIGHT NEW LOCOMOTIVES. CONFIDENCE IN FUTURE. (By Telegraph.— Own Correspondent.) THAMES, Tuesday. Mr. Rhodes, M.P., who visited Wellington in the interests of Price's Foundry, seeing the Minister of Railways, returned -with the information that a further contract for eight locomotives has been secured, with a possible extension.
This is greatly satisfactory to Thames, as if no further contract had been received by Price's, it would have meant the loss of fifty or more families to the town. The firm can - now go ahead with confidence regarding the future.
