" WIFE ENTITLED TO SHARE." THREAT THAT IS A PLEA. LONDON, January 7. "So long as no portion nf a husband's salary is his wife's by right women will strive for independence," said Mrs. Tidswell, addressing the women teachers' conference. She protested against the dismissal of married teachers on grounds other than inefficiency. "It is insulting man to marry him to be kept," she added. "As long as men insist that women must give up their occupation when they marry, there will be subjection of women."
