MELBOURNE, December 28. Bert Nicholls outpointed Jimmy Edwards in a. twenty rounds bout.— (A. and N.Z. Cable.) THE SHEFFIELD SHIELD. SYDNEY, December 28. The Cricket Association has agreed to the postponement of the Sheffield Shield match, New South Wales against Victoria, to a date to be fixed. The match was to have started on Boxing Day, but both the weather and the long Test match upset arrangements.— (A. and N.Z. Cable.)
