EX-KAISER'S GIFTS.
WARM CLOTHES FOR WILHELM SERMONS TO THE SERVANTS. PARIS, December 28. The French Press reports that the Hohenzollerns' Kanta Claus is apparently in the clothing business. From his son and heir, the ex-Crown Prince, the ex-kaiser Wilhelm received a raincoat and a heavy winter overcoat. His wife, Princess Hermione, gave him two suits of clothing. Princess Hcrmione was, however, presented with two evening gowns by her ex-august husband, while the children and servants at Doom Castle received nothing but clothing from the exEmperor. The latter was apparently determined to make the entire Christmas celebration as practical as the presents. The festive tree was felled by Wilhelm and trimmed by him and his wife. No guests'were invited from Germany. A few squires and mayors from neighbouring towns were asked in the evening when the tree was lighted. Wilhelm devoted the second day of Christmas to preaching sermons to his loyal servants. — (A. and N.Z. Cable.)
