SYDNEY, December 25. i The presidont of the Miners' Federa--1 tion has been informed that the Coal ; Tribunal will bo summoned during the > second week in January to deal with ; the claims made by the federation some ! months ago for a minimum weekly >. wage of £5 10/ and a uniform seven--1 hour day throughout the whole industry. ' When the claims were last before the tribunal the chairman (Mr. Hibble) said •he would not commence the hearing . until all the pits then idle had resumed . and until his award with reference to the Lithgow Coke Works and cutting • machines at Pelawmain had been ob- - served. Only the first of these conditios had been fulfilled. It is expected the hearing will last for several weeks. 1 (A. and N.Z. Cable.)
