DEATH AT HOSPITAL.

FOLLOWING MOTOR ACCIDENT. Miss Elsie Roberts, aged about 35, of 44 Albert Street, Devonport, who was admitted to the Auckland Hospital on November 3, as the result of having been knocked down by a motor-car in Upper Queen Street, died at that institution last evening. On November 3 about 8 p.m., Miss Roberts alighted from a tramcar at the stop opposite the Y.W. C_\. building, and was proceeding towards the footpath as a motor-car was coming down the hill. It was stated at the time that Miss Roberts hesitated and then walked on again and was knocked down. When admitted to the hospital she was suffering from abrasions to the body and shock.
