DEVONPORT NAVAL YARD.

VISIT OF INSPECTION. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WELLINGTON, this day. Sir R. H. Rhodes, Minister of Defence, accompanied by Commodore Beal, left to-day for Auckland to inspect the Devonport naval yard. The Minister visits Kohimarama aerodrome on Saturday and leaves on Monday for Dargaville. He will motor to Waipoua kauri forest on Tuesday, and on the following day will inspect" the kauri gum extraction works near Dargaville, subsequently motoring to Whangarei, and returns to Auckland on Thursday.
