TRENTHAM TRAINING NOTES. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Wednesday. The weather was-fine but cold 'at Trenthani this morning. The, tracks .had dried fairly well, and the Inside of tbe trial grass, which was In use,- provided fair going, although naturally considering the amount of rain that has fallen, fast times were out of the question. A large number of horses were out, but few were asked to gallop. J. H. Frosser's pair, Haze and Gardant, opened proceedings by running six furlongs In 1.122 3-5. Master Sandstone-and'Ecuador-were sprinted balf a mile in 535, both being under a pull at tbe finish. 'Koyal Divorce (W. Tippetts) jumped off at the seven furlong post. He ran the first three furlongs In 40s, and the half mile in 51 3-ss, finishing up the full distance lii 1.35. ile completed his task well.

Lake Urn and Ares covered the last four of five furlongs in 55 2-ss, and Kaladarc ran five furlongs In 1.12. Wench shaped well when being schooled by H. McSweeney over, three, flights of hurdles.

Mllltalre, later, with the same rider up, was jumped over the same fences. Calm Eve covered seven furlongs In 1.40J, and Crishna a similar distance in 1.38, going easily. i Fool's Paradise (K. lieed) and Dubious ! broke away from the six furlong post. They covered the first two furlongs in 27 l-ss, three in' 40 4-ss, five In 1.8 2-5, and the full journey in 1.22. Fool's Paradise was under a very strong pull at the finish. Subjection, who .has improved considerably In appearance, galloped seven furlongs In 1.38, the first half mile taking ;545. •

All Gold and.'Matln'Bell finished together at the end of half a mile in 52 1-5.

Vindictive, brought home by Mllltalre over the last half mile, ran a mile in 1.50.

Nigger, Minstrel, who bus freshened up since coming to Trentham, was anxious to increase the pace when being cantered twice round. -

Tlega, with K. Reed in the Baddle, strodo out well In a working gallop over Aye. furlongs. Suggestion and Proclaim were given h*lf pace work in company. The former has been Improved by his racing at Masterton. Musketoon, Drawbridge, and Importer, who arrived yesterday, were given easy, tasks. The first-named looks very muscular and well. Comical and Diamond Ring, who arrived yesterday, were sprinted half a mile. The former, with R. Reed In the saddle, was going better mate at the finish. Elmorz and Hyrax were schooled over four hurdles, the former going best.

Santonio and Santiago, who arrived yesterday, were given steady pace work. Kuhio and Ilka were together at the end of five furlongs run in 1.7 3-5. The first furlong took 13 4-ss, and the two furlongs 26 3-os. '

Dominant, who is improving, galloped a mile by herself in 1.48, the six furlongs taking 1.22 2-5. Other horses out who were only trotted or cantered were Piquant, Quiescent, Merit, last Crust, Star .Shell, Satamis, Quest, Happy Days, Stream, Waetea, and Sottana.
