THE FINAL GAME. CITY V. MARIST BROTHERS. The usual meeting of the Management Committee was held last evening, Mr. W. J. Hammlll presiding. Touching the statement which had been published In a Southern newspaper that the Auckland League paid players 30/ per match, the chairman' reported that the paper had withdrawn the statement, and a correction published- stating that it was convinced no such practice prevailed. An apology was tendered the League. Members expressed satisfaction with tbe committee's nction In demanding a withdrawal of the statement.

It was decided that the final game of the season between Marist Brothers, winners of the championship, and City, winners of tbe Roope Rooster, should be played at Cariaw Park on Monday morning. The' appeal of the Richmond Club against the decision of the Junior Judicial Committee in awarding a fourth grade match between Richmond and Ponsonby to Ponsonby was upheld.

The final junior game of the season will be played on Saturday on the outer Domain between Kingsland and Huntly at 3 p.m. Mr. W. Hayward will referee.
