SAVAGE CROCODILE.

CHASES GEOLOGIST. (Beceived 11 a.m.) BRISBANE, this day. The Government Geologist , and two companions were walking near the Gilbert Eiver recently, -when a large crocodile climbed out of a waterhole 'and chased them, making awesome noises. The crocodile narrowly missed grabbing one of the men. The dogs of the party pluckily attacked the crocodile, which one of the party subsequently shot—(A. and N.Z. Cable.)
