A' fine two-storey 'block with redpressed brick facing the building will be an imposing one, having a frontage of 300 ft with an ultimate depth of 180 ft .: The. work being carried out in the present contract means the erection of the" front' block which covers five students' rooms, four section . rooms, two 'laboratories,., two lecture. rooms, an art room, and a spacious library, and' general administration rooms. There is also a fine verandah '•■ bordering ■ the library front. Also included, in the present contract is a spacious assembly hall .and further lecture and section rooms on .the top floor.' ' ' '. On the same site it 'is also proposed to erect a model normal school, plans, for which', have already been made by Mr. W. S. Putwain, the Auckland Education Board's, architect.
