A PEDESTRIAN KILLED.
TWO OTHERS HURT. FURIOUS CAR DRIVING. SYDNEY, September 14. A furiously-driven motor car at Annandale dashed into three pedestrians at an early hour this morning and killed one, Mr. Robert Walker. The two other men were dangerously injured. The car made off at fall speed without stopping. The police traced "the car which caused the fatality. When found it was stained with blood. The driver, Victor Lindley, has been arrested on a charge of manslaughter.— (A. and X.Z. Cable. It is asserted that one of the passengers of the car was thrown out by the force of the impact. It is believed the driver picked up this man and drove away. Lindley later called at fetersham police station and reported that the passenger in the car he was driving had met with' an accident. He said he had taken him to the Lewisham hospital. The car was, later'examined and found to. be damaged about the front. Lindley was questioned by the police, and then arrested.—(A. and N.Z. Cable.)
