DEATH IN POLICE CELL.

» WHILE AWAITING TRIAL. While confined in a cell at the City Police Station, waiting to be brought before the magistrate and charged with vagrancy this morning, Daniel Minogue (57) died last night in his sleep. Death is stated to have been due to hetrt failure, Dr. D. N. Murray being prepared to give a certificate to that effect. Deceased was well known to the police as a vagrant. He was arrested at Parnell on Saturday, and, had he lived, would have been" charged before Mr. J. W. Poynton, S.M., this morning with having insufficient means of support.
