DR. KING'S SUCCESSOR. HE SUGGESTS MISS PATTRICK. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.. WELLINGTON this day. The Plunket. Society resolved, "In view of the increasing demands made by the Government on Dr. Truby King's services the need for ah understudy be discussed without delay." Dr. Truby King approved "of the remit, and mentioned that Plunket work I was really a woman's work. In his * opinion Miss I Pattrick, director ,of the Plunket nursing, would make an- excellent successor to him. Dr. King reported that Mr. McVilly, Manager of the Railways, had replied to a sub-committee regarding a request for reduction on return railway tickets for delegates attending the Biennial General Conference of the -society in Wellington, that a proper business' basis would be to arrange with the Health Department for a cross entry, crediting the Railway Department with the difference. Were this done, Mr. McVilly would have everything in his power to facilitate concessions.
